Ok so a guy’s wife at my job recently had a baby. And my coworkers thought is would be wonderful to have a baby gift card and item basket and while I can smile and nod and say congrats, I would not want to afford nor wish to be included in this. So when my coworkers are coming to collect the gifts and such what would you suggest I say politely to say that I won’t partake with this? What boggles my mind is that my coworkers know without a doubt that I do not believe in breeding and I find the idea of bringing kids in to this world as nothing less then torture, yet they want me to help support some kid I will probably never meet and would never choose to meet given the option. Now I specifically asked how to do this politely because I know how to be mean, but nice on the other hand is not my best suite.
Okay bases on the first answers notice I said would not afford not could not afford.

i’m working on my baby registry and its my first child so i’m not quite sure which brand is best. i’ve heard that nuk bottles can radiate your kid or soemthing if they’re heat up.. not sure how true that is though. i was thinking about adding the playtex bottles. anyone have experiences with those? what bottle brand do you recommend?

I’m looking at buying stuff for the baby right now. My mom is getting the crib, and my best friend has been spending money on him like crazy. I feel really bad, but I don’t have that much money. I tell her she doesn’t need to, but she insists. Anyways, I have $250. I was wondering what sort of stuff I should look into buying for the baby that I most likely wouldn’t receive at a baby shower. I was looking at Car Seats already.. But what else will I need that friends/relatives will most likely not buy? I know there’s tons of things, my mind is just blank right now.

(We have a stroller to use already, and dressers.)
The baby shower isn’t until June, though. I need to buy some stuff now. :/

If you know someone does not like you, and they give you something let’s just say a gift for your birthday, or because you had a baby, wedding etc, or if they throw a celebration for you for whatever. You know it is not heartfelt and they just did it because people told them that they should do this for you because of the position they are in. Do you accept these gifts? Not show up for these phony people parties? Pretending to appreciate you when YOU KNOW that they really don’t?

I have 2 one-year-old twins. They drink sippy cup throughout the day, but only when they nap and bedtime i give them baby bottle. I tried and it is SO HARD. They both cry so LOUD. I want to wean them off slowly, how do i do that. Thanks, any advice.
