I have a really close friend who is due in April and I want to get her some more personal mommy gifts for her to enjoy during her pregnancy (before all the baby showers and baby gifts, etc). I am several years younger than her so she is my first pregnant friend and I’m not exactly sure what would be nice to have while being pregnant.

I already got her some extremely comfortable shoes and want to put together a little basket of extra stuff that she would really enjoy (i.e. lavendor lotions, teas, etc). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

When I mentioned it to him, his response to my dismay was that “it’s not the right time”. Our finances are a bit crazy and I have a major student loan over my head. I was hurt and felt that he should’ve been more sensitive to my feelings to become a Mother. Although he apologized profusely I still feel resentment towards him, especially on days when I yearn to have a baby. Any advice on how to get through those days when my body gives me that tug to become a mommy?

I told several people the probable dates for my baby shower and I let them know to watch for the invitations. I didn’t ask anyone what day is best for them because I know I can’t accomodate everyone. I had several people reply to my email and tell me that they aren’t available on certain days. Unfortunately I can’t take that into consideration because I had to choose the day that was best for the grandparents and the hostess. I totally understand if someone can’t make it but think it’s rude for them to try to tell me what date to have it. Then after the date is set a couple of people asked if they should bring their husbands. Well the husband’s name was not on the invite and if they look at the guest list on the website they can see it’s ladies only. Am I the only one with difficult friends or maybe I’m just too grouchy? I just think that everyone should politely decline or politely accept.

The GP refuses to give us an appointment. She said it sounds like nothing by my description. I’d like to punch her in the face. I’m gonna go to straight to the specialist. Otolaryngologists is on the list, thanks.
No I don’t know if it’s apnea or not. I’m guessing based on what I have read. It also could be asthma. Because the GP is not helping me figure it out, I’m going straight to the specialist.
I brought him to my chiropractor 2 days ago, and he said it’s just really bad sinuses and allergies. He gave him an adjustment and he’s already breathing better. So far he has done last night, through the night without trouble (I stayed awake watching him) and today’s nap and so far tonight, he’s been breathing.
Thanks to everyone for the help and advice. If it happens again, I’ll talk to an ENT, but so far, it’s looking good. I did make an appointment with the allergist to check on it.
