What type of gift should I get my friend for her baby shower?

The catch to this question is that this will be my friends 3rd pregnancy, but 2nd child. You see she delivered prematurely last year and watched as her little girl took her last breath. Now she’s farther along with this pregnancy (7 months) and she’s having a boy this time. Her and her husband are very dear friends of mine and my husband. So I want to make sure I get a great present for her.

If money isn’t an issue…. I would get a pack n play. It’s a playard/bassinet/changing table. You can get one for about 100 +. We use ours everyday for a place to change the baby and he sleeps in it during the day. We have a 2 story house, so it’s awesome!

If you want to get her a meaningful present, get something that can be engraved with their baby’s name and birth date. You can give it to them before the baby comes and just tell them you are going to get it engraved after the baby is born. Photo albums are good too cause they can fill them up with great photos. But useful presents are always great. My baby’s favorite items were the baby swing and exersaucer. Highchairs and playyards are very helpful too. Hope that helps a little.

One of the most useful gifts I received was a high chair, which BTW I couldn’t use until the baby was 5 months. (still a great gift) also one thing I wish I’d gotten is a really nice baby memory book to keep up with all the babies firsts. Your friend will keep a baby book forever and pass it on to the child.

WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH MY SON, ONE OF MY DEAR FRIENDS GAVE ME WHAT SHE CALLED A CARE PACKAGE FOR THE BABY AND ME AND ALSO MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AT THE TIME.
