What gift should I get for my friend’s baby shower tomorrow?

she’s not registered anywhere and the host didn’t provide any suggestions for gifts. Also, I asked the host if I could contribute anything to the food and she kept insisting I just bring myself, but I feel wierd showing up somewhere without a contribution to the food. My friend is Indian — is there a cultural dimension to this?

I don’t know very much about Indian culture but I’m sure all babies eat, and sleep so you can’t go wrong with Bottles of blankies. I would go with a gift card from Walmart of Target so she can buy whatever she wants!

Diapers Diapers Diapers! Its the things that you constantly have to buy that you cherish the most. Diapers are a great, and safe, gift to bring to any baby shower. Sure it might be boring, but it will be appreciated.

Diapers is a good idea. Don’t get the newborn size, though. They outgrow those too quickly.
A Fisher Price crib aquarium is something that many babies like. My son is 2 and still loves to listen to it and watch the fishies at night before he goes to sleep.
