I usually give the my 9 month old baby juice – the kind u dilute down with water?

★ʂʈar☆ asked:

But I hear that it’s no different to normal fruit concentrate. However, I would prefer to give baby sugar free but it contains aspartame sweetener. Even the stuff marketed to kids like Robinson’s etc. Is this OK? I hear aspartame is dangerous stuff!

Any recommendations for aspartame and sugar free juice concentrates? Or do you give your kids the regular sugary juice – eeek.

i dont no what aspartame is but i have always gave my son pure orange juice ( a tiny bit ) with boiled water cooled down. if you get suger free i dont think is problem but i prefer fresh juice with water

( if you worried juice some fruit yourself and water down.
i usually only give juice if my son has a cold for extra vitamins

Our daughter is 11 months old, and we usually give her just plain old water to drink. Naturally sugar-free, and she loves it! Anyway, any 100% fruit juice (made specifically for babies or not) has no added sugar OR aspartame. I would steer clear of giving a baby any artificial sweetener.
Just steer clear of any juice that lists itself as a fruit juice punch or cocktail as these have added sugars. Go for anything that is 100% juice.

i’ve been studying child care and development at the school, the teacher said that ALL the baby foods and juices they sell in supermarkets, don’t have a lot of nutritional value they only want your money, she recommended water only, even pure fruit juice has natural sugars in it, which can decay their teeth before they’ve even come through. so going by what i’ve learnt i recommend no fruit juices until they’re older. Also if your giving it to the baby through a baby bottle with a teat that’s even worst.

I choose to give my baby normal no sugar or other sweetener added juices diluted 50/50 with water. You can get orange, apple, grape, white grape, . . . I stay away from all juices with any sweetener added including juicy juice, because they use lots of sweet fruits and increase the expectation of sweetness for all juices.
    Brands that I use:
    Tree top
    Minute maid
    ocean spray
Just keep checking the labels, all brands put extra sugar in some of their juices

It is shameful the company passes their product off as good for babies.
