How can you clean the downy ring out of the inside of the washing machine?

Anyway, it has started to make a ring of green glop on the outside of the washing basket and it is pretty nasty. Spray it with a mixture of HOT water and white vinegar(75/25)and scrub with a microfiber cloth.

Wash a full cycle, no clothes inside, with high water level, with 2 litres of white vinegar, any cheap brand will do. This will clean your washing machine interior, as well as the pipes. Have you considered using white vinegar instead of fabric softener? It would keep your machine clean, clothes won’t fade, no skin irritation.

Does your washer have a clean me cycle like after 100 washes (nice feature) if not use vinegar on a rag and get scrubbing.
